ALFONSO LOPEZ

Alfonso Lopez is an EMMY® award-nominated audiovisual director. With a broad formation as a musician, composer, film director, and writer, he has mastered the art of storytelling in different platforms.
Originally from Venezuela, Alfonso has successfully completed projects for non-profit organizations, brands, and artists in Venezuela, Mexico, and the US and received different recognitions and awards for his work.
In the music industry, he has collaborated and worked with Latin Grammy winners as Mariana Vega and Oscar D’Leon. Alfonso received a nomination for his
participation in the album “Tu Amor” by Gabriela Cartulano, nominated to Best Christian Album in the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards.
In 2014 he wrote his opera prima for theatre “What Is The Scandal?”. In May 2015 the premiere of the theatrical piece took place in San Francisco directed by Alfonso Lopez and successfully completed three runs in the city, followed for more presentations in New York, North Carolina, San Diego, and Los Angeles. In 2016 Alfonso directed a performance of “The Vagina Monologues” in Spanish at The Victoria Theater in San Francisco. He was also the Artistic Co-Director of “Son de la Mision” a musical suite that tells a 50-year story of San Francisco’s Mission District.
Over the years Alfonso has shown great ability in storytelling using an integral approach in every project he takes.
Being a Latino immigrant, Alfonso has actively worked to support, uplift, and give back to his community through the collaboration with different non-profits: Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, Latino Business Action Network, Kapor Center, Latinos in Finance and Latino Community Foundation.
